The Head teacher,
Govt. M.C. Academy,
Sylhet.

Subject: Prayer for setting up a computer club in the school.

Sir,
We, the students of your reputed school, have the honour to state most respectfully that there is no computer club in our school. We all know that the present age is the age of science and information technology. Computer literacy has become an essential part of modern education. The government has also included ICT as a compulsory subject in our curriculum. However, only theoretical classes are not enough to make students skilled in computer operation. A well-equipped computer club can provide us with the opportunity to practise typing, programming, graphic design, internet browsing, and many other essential skills.

Most of the students of our school come from middle-class families and they cannot afford to buy personal computers or take admission in private training centres. If a computer club is set up in our school, all the students, irrespective of their financial background, will get the chance to learn computer skills at a nominal cost. Moreover, the club can arrange workshops, IT fairs, and inter-school programming contests which will enhance the reputation of our school.

We, therefore, earnestly pray and hope that you would be kind enough to take necessary steps to set up a computer club in our school as early as possible and oblige us thereby.

We remain,
Sir,
Your most obedient pupils,
The students of Govt. M.C. Academy, Sylhet.

14. Write a paragraph on 'The Life of a Farmer'10

Write a paragraph in about 150-200 words.

উত্তর দেখো
The Life of a Farmer

A farmer is a person who cultivates land and produces crops for the nation. He is one of the most hardworking and useful members of our society because the entire economy of an agricultural country like Bangladesh largely depends on him. From dawn to dusk, he works in the field with his simple tools and a pair of bullocks, often ignoring the scorching heat of the sun or the pouring rain. His daily life starts very early in the morning when he takes a simple breakfast and goes to the field with his plough. He works tirelessly till noon and returns home only for a brief midday meal. His income is very uncertain because it depends on weather, rainfall, and the timely availability of seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides. When nature is kind, he gets a good harvest and his face beams with joy; but when floods, droughts, or cyclones destroy his crops, his dreams turn into despair. He has to take loans from local moneylenders at high interest, and sometimes he cannot even repay them. Moreover, he has to look after the education, health, and marriage of his children with this meagre income. Despite all these hardships, he never gives up hope; he keeps on working with the dream of a better tomorrow. A true farmer is honest, patient, and God-fearing. The government should come forward with easy agricultural loans, subsidised fertilizers, fair price of crops, and modern training so that the life of a farmer can be improved and he can live with dignity and respect.

15. Write a composition on 'Your Favourite Game'12

Write a composition in about 250 words.

উত্তর দেখো
My Favourite Game

Games and sports are essential parts of human life. They are not only the source of recreation but also a means of building up physical fitness and mental discipline. Among all the games I have played or watched, cricket is my most favourite game. Cricket is an international outdoor game that is played between two teams, each consisting of eleven players. It is one of the most popular games in the world, especially in the countries of the Indian subcontinent, England, Australia, South Africa, and the West Indies. The game is played on a large circular or oval-shaped field with a rectangular 22-yard pitch in the centre. A coin is tossed at the beginning to decide which team will bat first. One team bats while the other team bowls and fields. The batting team tries to score as many runs as possible, while the bowling team tries to dismiss the batsmen and restrict the runs.

There are mainly three formats of cricket — Test matches, One-Day Internationals, and Twenty-20 matches. Among them, I like the T-20 format most because it is short, fast, and full of excitement. I usually play cricket with my friends in the afternoon in the local field. We use a bat, a ball, and some wooden stumps. I like this game because it teaches us discipline, patience, teamwork, leadership, and the spirit of fair play. It also helps to keep our body fit and our mind fresh.

Bangladesh has made remarkable progress in cricket in recent years. Our national team has earned respect and love from cricket lovers all over the world. Whenever Bangladesh plays against any top team, the whole nation becomes united in support of the Tigers. The victory of our cricket team gives us immense joy and inspiration. Cricketers like Shakib Al Hasan, Mushfiqur Rahim, Tamim Iqbal, and Mahmudullah have become the idols of millions of young Bangladeshis.

In conclusion, cricket is not just a game to me — it is a passion and a source of endless joy. It has taught me to accept both victory and defeat gracefully and to keep on trying till the last ball is bowled. I firmly believe that with proper practice and dedication, I can become a good cricketer one day and bring honour to my country.
