10. Write a paragraph on "Load-shedding" (250 words)10
উত্তর দেখো
Load-shedding means the suspension of electric power for a certain period of time. It has become a chronic problem in Bangladesh, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. In our country, the demand for electricity is much higher than what we can produce. As a result, the authorities are compelled to disconnect the supply of power at regular intervals. Load-shedding disrupts our daily life in many ways. Students cannot study properly at night. Shops, hotels and business establishments have to close early. Industries and factories cannot run their machines smoothly, causing huge economic losses. Even hospitals suffer greatly. Houses become dark and hot during load-shedding. In a hot and humid country like Bangladesh, this makes life almost unbearable. Several measures can be taken to solve this problem. More power plants should be established. Illegal electricity connections should be stopped. Renewable energy sources such as solar power should be widely used. Above all, we should try our best to save electricity. If we take proper steps now, we can hope for a bright and prosperous future.

To
The Headmaster
Nurpur High School
Rupganj, Narayanganj
Subject: Prayer for setting up a canteen.
Sir,
With due respect, I beg to state that we, the students of your school, are facing a serious problem. Our school has no canteen on the campus. Many of us come from far away and stay the whole day at school. We feel hungry during the tiffin period, but there is no arrangement to buy hygienic food.
As a result, some students go outside to buy unhygienic snacks from roadside vendors. This is harmful to health and also wastes time. A clean canteen on the school campus would solve this problem. If a hygienic canteen is set up, students can buy fresh food at a reasonable price. It will also help us concentrate better on studies.
I, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to take necessary steps to set up a hygienic canteen in our school.
I remain
Sir

12. Write a short composition on "Your Childhood Memories"20
Narrate how you passed your childhood — with parents, school experiences, special occasions, village life, etc.
উত্তর দেখো
Childhood is the golden period of every human being's life. It is full of joy, wonder and sweet memories. When I look back on my childhood days, my heart fills with joy and a little sadness.
I spent my childhood in my village home with my parents, grandparents and younger sister. My grandmother used to tell me fairy tales at night. Those stories of princes, princesses and magical creatures made my imagination fly.
I remember my first day at school clearly. I cried a lot and did not want to leave my mother. But my class teacher was very kind. She held my hand and promised me chocolates if I stayed. Gradually, I came to love school. My friends and I would play hide-and-seek during the tiffin break.
One of my most memorable days was my birthday. My parents arranged a small party for me. My mother cooked my favourite dishes — polao, chicken roast and firni. My friends brought me gifts and we played the whole afternoon.
Village life was a big part of my childhood. I used to climb mango trees, catch fish in the pond and play in the open fields. Sometimes I would help my father in the garden. Those days were simple but beautiful.
Now I am a school student, and life has become more serious. But the memories of my childhood remain fresh in my mind. They give me peace and remind me that happiness is found in the small things of life.
