📘 Kinds of Sentences — নিয়মগুলো দেখে নাও
- অর্থ অনুযায়ী ৫ প্রকার: Assertive (বিবৃতি), Interrogative (প্রশ্ন), Imperative (আদেশ/অনুরোধ/উপদেশ), Optative (প্রার্থনা/ইচ্ছা), Exclamatory (আবেগ/বিস্ময়)।
- Imperative-এ সাধারণত subject (you) উহ্য থাকে: Shut the door. Let দিয়ে প্রস্তাবও Imperative: Let us go.
- Optative: May you live long! Long live Bangladesh! Would that I were a bird!
- Exclamatory: What a … ! / How … ! / Alas!, Hurrah! — কিন্তু How do you …? প্রশ্ন হলে Interrogative।
- গঠন অনুযায়ী: Simple — একটি finite verb (Being ill, he could not come.)।
- Compound — দুটি স্বাধীন অংশ and, but, or, so দিয়ে যুক্ত: He was ill, so he could not come.
- Complex — একটি প্রধান অংশ + একটি নির্ভরশীল clause (as, if, when, though, who, that…): As he was ill, he could not come.
